Lowe’s is looking to hire thousands of people come this spring. The home improvement retailer has announced that it is looking to hire 53,000 people for the upcoming spring season, which is expected to be very busy.

The jobs are for both part-time roles as well as full-time roles. According to the company, last year about 50% of seasonal hires went on to get permanent jobs.

The company said in a release that it would begin to hold hiring events in all of its more than 1,700 U.S. stores next week to fill positions over the next three months. Positions include cashiers, stockers, and merchandising associates.

Lowe’s also said that stores in Florida, Southern California and Hawaii, as well as parts of Arizona, Utah, Nevada, Texas, Alabama and Georgia, where spring weather typically arrives earliest, will host the first walk-in hiring events from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 8. Candidates may receive on-the-spot offers during this open interview process.

Additional hiring events will be at stores in the remaining U.S. regions on Jan. 15, Feb. 5, Feb. 19 and March 4.

All workers will be eligible to participate in Lowe’s quarterly bonus program and in addition to their pay, they will receive a 10% store discount.
