The “b” in IHOB is Finally Revealed
It’s been heavy anticipation on what the b in IHOb stands for.
The restaurant, formerly known as IHOP, has changed its name to IHOb as part of a marketing campaign and said earlier this month that it would be on Monday that it would reveal what the “b” stands for.
Dine Brands Global Inc., which owns IHOP, had tweeted about the name change but did not reveal what the letter stood for.
Many had guessed on Twitter what it could be, with guesses ranging from breakfast or brunch to even botany.
The company tweeted on Monday, “Dear Internet, we abbreciate your batience. Now let’s see who guessed right. B-hold!!!!! #IHOb.”
The answer? Burgers.
“We are definitely going to be IHOP,” Darren Rebelez, president of IHOP, told CNNMoney. “But we want to convey that we are taking our burgers as seriously as our pancakes.”
