Scaleworks has Acquired Start-up Keen IO

In an undisclosed deal that happened earlier this week, Scaleswork, a private equity firm focusing on software start-ups, has acquired Sequoia-based data start-up Keen IO.

Keen IO is in an arena with rivals that include Google Analytics, Kissmetrics and Mixpanel.

The company is a San Francisco-based start-up with data analytics software aimed at developers. The startup has raised nearly $30 million in venture capital. The company’s customers include Adobe, InterContinental Hotels Group and Pandora.

According to the company’s former COO Will O’Brien, some other Scaleworks companies use Keen’s service
