Over 30 Children’s Medicines Have Been Recalled Because of This

King Bio, a pharmaceutical manufacturing company that produces and sells water based natural homeopathic medicine, has voluntarily recalled 32 children’s medicines due to microbial contamination.

The company announced the news on Wednesday and warned that the use of the medicines could result in life-threatening infections in some people.

The press release said the products were produced between Aug. 1, 2017, and April 2018 and have tested positive for microbial contamination.

Though the number of products is a small percentage, the recall is being issued out of an abundance of caution. The company said it is sending letters to customers and distributors to arrange a return and replacement.

The FDA has said that the use of products with microbial contamination can “potentially result in increased infections that may require medical intervention and could result in infections that could be life-threatening to certain individuals.”
