IHOP Changed its Name and People Don’t Like It

IHOP announced via Twitter that it has changed its name to IHOB.

The company posted a video that shows the “P” at the end of the IHOP name flipping to become the letter “B.”

IHOP, or rather IHOB, was even asking fans what they think the letter “B” will now stand for. My guess is breakfast?

There has been no explanation as to why the company is changing its name but many took to Twitter to share their dislike for the change. The reason for the change will be revealed on June 11th by the company.

One tweet in particular stood out, and read, “Do you realize how many millions of dollars it will cost to change IHOp to IHOb? This has to be a stunt. No way they really do it.”

Another pointed out, “It’s not like there’s any IHOP brand confusion. Someone looking at IHOP and going “No, let’s not go there, I want breakfast, not just pancakes” has happened exactly zero times in history.”
