It was on Tuesday that e-commerce giant Amazon launched a new Middle East marketplace called Souq.com. Amazon purchased the Dubai-based e-commerce company two years ago for $580 million. According to Amazon’s announcement, Souq.com will be rebranded to Amazon.ae and the Souq.com URL now automatically takes you to Amazon.ae.
