Prince Harry and Wife Meghan Markle Announce Deals to Expand their Empire

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may not be a part of the Royal Family anymore but that isn’t stopping them from building their own empire.

The couple are making big moves to expand their media front, one year after exiting the royal family.

The two announced this week that they have a new partnership with Proctor and Gamble (PG), the very same company that Meghan Markle had called out regarding sexist ads nearly 30 years ago.

The multi-year, global initiative was made public through the couple’s Archewell Foundation. The deal is set to “focus on gender equality, more inclusive online spaces, and resilience and impact through sport.” A financial agreement has not yet been disclosed.

Prince Harry’s Apple TV+ (AAPL) series with Oprah Winfrey also finally has a release date. “The Me You Can’t See” series will debut on May 21 and will see Winfrey and Harry, who serve as co-creators and executive producers, lead discussions on mental health. Big guests include Glenn Close, Lady Gaga, and San Antonio Spurs’ DeMar DeRozan.

Prince Harry had also been hired as chief impact officer at San Francisco-based mental health startup BetterUp. A Wall Street Journal said he would be joining the company’s leadership team as an “officer of the corporation.”

Harry also took on a six month role as a commissioner for the leading non-profit Aspen Institute’s new Commission on Information Disorder.

This past December the couple had also signed a 3-year podcast deal with Spotify (SPOT) for an estimated $15 million – $18 million.

It was then that Markle invested an undisclosed amount in startup Clevr Blends, according to Fortune.

The couple also have a 5-year Netflix (NFLX) deal that could be valued at up to $100 million.
