iPhone Maker Apple is to Spend $1B on Opening a 3,000 Employee Campus in This State
Tech giant Apple will be spending a lot of money on a new campus in North Carolina.
The iPhone maker announced on Monday that it will be spending $1 billion to open the 3,000 employee campus in the Raleigh, North Carolina area.

he company said it would employ 3,000 people working on technology like software engineering and machine learning.
Apple already has its headquarters in Cupertino, California and is expected to open a $1 billion campus in Austin, Texas later next year.
The North Carolina campus will be located in the state’s Research Triangle area, which gets its name from nearby North Carolina State University, Duke University and the University of North Carolina.’
Both Apple CEO Tim Cook and COO Jeff Williams have MBAs from Duke.
Apple senior vice president Eddy Cue, who is in charge of the company’s online services, also graduated from Duke.
“As a North-Carolina native, I’m thrilled Apple is expanding and creating new long-term job opportunities in the community I grew up in,” Williams said.
Apple is aiming to quickly expand in other cities where it has engineering operations. It plans to employ 5,000 people in San Diego, 3,000 people in Culver City in Los Angeles, and 700 in Boulder, Colorado, by the year 2026. Apple also said it plans to double its employees in Seattle to 2,000 people and plans to add 20,000 jobs in the U.S. over the next five years.
