J-Lo and A-Rod Call Off Engagement But are Caught Kissing in the DR

Are Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez together or not? This is a question millions of fans of the couple are wondering in the last week since the world learned that the couple had called off their long engagement.

It was TMZ that broke the story first that the celebrity couple had decided to cancel their wedding and relationship, however, they are now trying to work things out.

Sources had directly told TMZ that the couple had called things off but apparently someone had said ‘It’s over!” only in the heat of the moment. Shortly after the couple admitted they were “working through some things.” They also assured that the breakup had nothing to do with a third party.

In recent months Alex Rodriguez, the former Yankees baseball player, had been accused of hitting on Madison LeCroy of the show Southern Charm after LeCroy slipped it to fellow castmates that she and him were talking. Rodriguez and Lopez have ignored these claims.

This past weekend 51-year old Lopez and her man spent some time in the Dominican Republican. The 45-year-old third baseman flew off on Sunday to see Lopez in person. Photos have also emerged that show her greeting him with a kiss.

“They had a great couple days in the DR,” a source exclusively told Page Six. “They continue to work through things. That’s the status quo right now. They’re together.”

“Whatever happened on Friday, they since spoke through the night, have seen each other, and are working things out — as of today they’re together,” a source familiar with the couple told Page Six this week.

“That’s where they are today. Whatever bump in the road, they decided that they were going to try and work things through.”

Lopez had “recently been very upset on the set” of her film, “Shotgun Wedding,” and that “for the last two weeks they have not been together and the last few days they were not good … They’ve been having some crazy issues,” said a source.

Sources have said that it was distance that led to the breakup.

“If it works out, and they do stay together, it was kind of the perfect storm — it was COVID, it was her being away, they were working on things,” a source said.
