Tesla CEO Says its Cybertruck Can Power a Small House

According to Elon Musk, the chief executive of electric vehicle giant Tesla, the company’s Cybertruck has enough power to power a tiny house.

The company’s Cybertruck is one of the most anticipated vehicles this year and with up to 500 miles of range, 14,000 pounds towing capacity, and no paint, there is a big price tag attached it.

The truck has a starting price of nearly $40,000.

Musk took to his Twitter and responded to a user about the Cybertruck and said that it will be capable of powering a mini house. The response was to a tweet that looked like the Cybertruck was pulling a full camper style fifth wheel home.

Musk had asked fans on Twitter what they would like to see in the final Cybertruck release to spark such a picture being tweeted.

The truck is expected to have initial deliveries at the end of 2021, with a larger rollout in 2022. The vehicle will be produced at Tesla’s as yet unfinished Gigafactory Texas.

The Cybertruck is scheduled to be released in late 2021 for the dual-motor AWD version while the single-motor versions will be released in late 2022.

The truck can tow up to 14,000 pounds, seats six people, has onboard power and compressed air, and has 3,500 pounds of payload capacity.

According to Tesla’s website, the Cybertruck is built with an exterior shell made for ultimate durability and passenger protection. Starting with a nearly impenetrable exoskeleton, every component is designed for superior strength and endurance, from Ultra-Hard 30X Cold-Rolled stainless-steel structural skin to Tesla armor glass.
