Elon Musk Wants You to Delete Facebook
Tesla’s CEO Elon Musk is a big fan of Twitter, which is proved by how often he tweets. What he is not a fan of is Facebook.
The electric vehicle maker leader and SpaceX CEO, took to his Twitter this past weekend to say that Facebook is “lame.”
He added the hashtag ”#DeleteFacebook” in response to an anti-Facebook tweet by Hollywood actor, writer, director and producer Sacha Baron Cohen.
It was earlier this month that Sacha Baron Cohen had wrote on his own Twitter, “We don’t let 1 person control the water for 2.5 billion people. We don’t let 1 person control electricity for 2.5 billion people. Why do we let 1 man control the information seen by 2.5 billion people?Facebook needs to be regulated by governments, not ruled by an emperor!”
It was in March of 2018 that Musk deleted both the Tesla and SpaceX Facebook pages, saying that he “didn’t realize” there were pages on the platform for his companies.
“I don’t use FB and never have,” Musk tweeted in March 2018. “So don’t think I’m some kind of martyr or my companies are taking a huge blow.”
How does he feel about Facebook owned Instagram? He wrote in 2018, “Instagram’s probably ok imo, so long as it stays fairly independent.”
