Snap Snags a 21st Century Fox Exec as Chief Communications Officer

Snap just announced a new Chief Communications Officer and its an executive from 21st Century Fox.

The parent company of the SnapChat app, announced on December 10th that it has appointed 21st Century Fox Executive Julie Henderson for the role. Ms. Henderson will be reporting to CEO Evan Spiegel and lead communications globally.

Henderson is currently the Executive Vice President and Chief Communications Officer for 21st Century Fox. She has been with the company since 2013. She will assume her new role at Snap immediately following the completion of the sale of certain 21st Century Fox assets to The Walt Disney Company.

“Julie will be an outstanding addition to our team. She brings incredible experience, talent and integrity, as well as the respect of the tech, media and finance communities,” said Spiegel. “I am deeply grateful to Mary for everything she has done for Snap over the past six years.”

Ms. Henderson will take over the responsibilities of Mary Ritti who was Vice President of Communications and announced she was leaving last summer.
