You Could Get Paid in Miles if American Airlines Messes Up

We all have our flying horror stories and what airlines have done to us, but what could change now is that we may actually get paid in miles by the air line when they mess up.

American Airlines is one airline that is approaching inconveniences in this manner by offering on the spot compensation to travelers for small inconveniences at airports. The offering will be avaialble later this year in-flight and will come in form of miles that will be distributed to customers who are in the company’s AAdvantage loyalty program.

Spokeswoman Lindsey Marcin remarked, “It goes back to giving team members the tools they need to do their jobs and solve problems on the spot.”

“It allows us to provide a better customer service experience for customers.”
Later this year, American Airlines flight attendants will have iSolve on their tablets that will allow them to offer in-flight compensation.

65,000 of the airline’s employees will take the training, including all workers who interact directly with passengers.
