“Bachelor” Chris Soules Is Arrested After Fatal Hit And Run

According to TMZ, ‘Bachelor’ contestant Chris Soules allegedly slammed into a tractor trailer and fled the scene after killing the driver on Monday night. He was later apprehended after witnesses near the scene of the crash ID’d him and called police.

According to documents obtained by TMZ, Soules was driving a Chevy pickup in Iowa on Monday evening and rear ended a John Deere tractor trailer, sending it into a ditch. The driver was later taken by ambulance to a hospital and died. The incident happened around 8:20 PM.

The documents reveal that police say Soules was in possession of alcoholic beverage containers at the time of the crash. He is being held on a $10,000 cash bond and has been booked on the charge of leaving the scene with a death but was not charged for driving under the influence.

Soules, 35, was on “The Bachelor” for season 19 in 2015. He and his final pick Whitney Bischoff broke off their engagement in May 2015.
