Google Is Planning To Acquire This Company Soon
According to TechCrunch reports, Google is planning on acquiring Kaggle, a coding competition platform.
Kaggle allows developers and data scientists to run machine learning contests, write and share code, and host datasets.
Founded in 2010, Kaggle’s platform already has half a million data scientists.
While a Google spokesman told Business Insider: ” I’m afraid we cannot offer any comment on rumour and speculation,” Kaggle cofounder and CEO Anthony Goldbloom has not denied the acquisition. Google has also reportedly teamed up with Kaggle earlier this month to run a $100,000 machine learning competition around classifying YouTube videos.
No details yet on how much the acquisition would be worth if it happens.
