Walmart (WMT) Just Offered Something Huge For Its Online Customers

In an effort to win against its competitor Amazon, Walmart has just decided to offer free two-day shipping on all orders over $35.

More than 2 million items will be eligible and any items shipped to the stores have no minimum price threshold.

Amazon Prime members have enjoyed perks like this for a yearly fee and the website has 40 million products that are eligible.

Marc Lore, President and CEO of Walmart U.S. eCommerce stated, “In today’s world of e-commerce, two-day free shipping is table stakes. It no longer makes sense to charge for it,” said Lore in a statement.

“Two-day free shipping is the first of many moves we will be making to enhance the customer experience and accelerate growth.”

“We are moving at the speed of a startup,” he said.
