Dance Moms Abby Lee Miller May Be Going To Prison
Who’s going to be a bitch to aspiring dance students if Abby Lee Miller ends up in prison?
According to reports, a prosecutor on Friday has urged a federal judge to sentence “Dance Moms” star Abby Lee Miller to prison instead of probation for bankruptcy fraud.
It was over a year ago that the dancing reality show star was indicted on 20 counts of fraud.
For the final case for the government on Friday in the Pennsylvania city, Assistant U.S. Attorney Greg Melucci told Chief Judge Joy Flowers Conti that Miller should be sentenced to 2.5 years in prison. According to Melucci, Miller had “intended to cause harm” to her creditors by deliberately misrepresenting her income on bankruptcy filings in 2012.
It may be hard for Melucci to get her into prison though because the defense argument believes Miller deserves probation because no creditors lost money once the bankruptcy fraud was discovered.
“The entire Chapter 11 system is based on full disclosure, and if there’s not full disclosure, the whole system falls apart,” U.S. Bankruptcy Trustee Larry Wahlquist testified.
Why is someone who hid her true income, to this extent, only looking at probation?
Good luck Melucci.
