Mariah Carey Explains Her Horrible New Years Disaster On Stage
Author By Sophia VidaPosted on Mariah Carey strutted in heels and feathers on ABC’s “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve With Ryan Seacrest” but despite looking good, the pop princess had a huge fiasco getting it right on stage.
It became apparent that Carey was lip syncing to her songs as her lead vocals would play as she talked. She blamed it on her monitors not working but Robert Goldstein of Maryland Sound International, the longtime audio company for Times Square on New Year’s Eve, said nope, that wasn’t the case. In an e-mail to The New York Times he wrote, “There were zero technical malfunctions. Every monitor and in-ear device worked perfectly.”
