This Billionaire Just Bought The Playboy Mansion
Looks like someone else will be hosting a lot of pool parties at the Playboy Mansion soon. 32-year-old billionaire Daren Metropoulos, who is also the owner of Twinkies maker Hostess Brands, has added the Playboy mansion to his collection.
Metropoulos is the son of C. Dean Metropoulos, the Greece-born billionaire who once owned Pabst Brewing Co.
Daren has been a neighbor of the mansion since 2009, when he bought the house next door from Hefner for $18 million. He must have liked everything he saw going on next door as the mansion is now under contract to be sold to him. He has even agreed to let Hefner, who is 90 years old right now, live in it for the rest of his life.
The Playboy mansion , which has 12 bedrooms and sits on five acres of land, also comes with a cave-like grotto and a zoo license, according to the listing. The house was listed at $200 million, but the final sale price was not disclosed.
