The iPhone 7 Is Apple’s (AAPL) Best Phone
Apple just had its keynote event and not only did the company unveil the newest generation of its iPhone, the iPhone 7, CEO Tim Cook also caled it, “the best iPhone we’ve ever created.”
The new iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus phone come with some major new features that include a new design, a different home button, a better camera, and retina HD display.
The newest generation iPhone has a high gloss finish and seamless lines all around. There is no more home button to click. Instead it is now “force-sensitive, solid-state” and runs on a “taptic engine.” Think of a trackpad on a laptop.
The phone’s camera according to senior VP of hardware engineering Phil Schiller, “is perhaps the most beloved feature.” The new camera has an optical image stabilizer that steadies shaky hands plus a wider, six-element lens to allow more light to the sensor.
It also includes a 12-megapixel sensor that is 30% more energy-efficient; the flash now has 4 LEDs and puts out 50% more light for taking a photo in dark environments. Last it uses machine learning to detect people and faces. Schiller has said, “We are not saying to throw out all your DSLRs…. but we are saying this is the best camera ever on any phone.”
The retina HD display on the new iPhone 7 is 25% brighter than the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, and displays cinema standard “wide color gamut” range of colors.
