Samsung Just Upped The Ante In Gaming

Samsung Electronics will be making gaming a lot more fun with their first curved gaming monitors. The models, CF591, CF391, and CF390, were first revealed at CES in January and are supported by AMD FreeSync™ Technology Over HDMI®, which synchronizes screen refresh rates with users’ AMD graphics card frame rates to reduce input latency, stutter and lag.

Samsung expects to help transform the PC gaming experience as the monitors are designed to match the natural shape of the human eye. The monitors feature a 3,000:1 contrast ratio that produces darker blacks and minimizes light leakage for a clearer and more complete on-screen presentation.

Their design also includes a sharp 1800 mm (1800R) curvature radius that offers panoramic and immersive viewing angles and a less visually-strenuous experience.

Seog-gi Kim, Senior Vice President, Visual Display Business, Samsung Electronics, said “As the multi-billion dollar gaming industry continues to evolve, gamers demand high-quality displays that bring a vivid, lifelike experience to their PC.”

“We are excited to showcase how our new curved monitors bring unprecedented visual quality to the market’s most recognizable and popular games. As we continue to build our presence in this competitive sector, we look forward to further enhancing our displays to meet gamers’ most pressing visual and performance needs.”
