For the person who hates driving the same car everyday, this announcement will surely blow your socks off.

Mercedes-Benz, owned by Daimler AG, announced that it would be starting a car-subscription pilot in two U.S. cities.

The app-based service will be available in Nashville and Philadelphia to start and will have three pricing tiers that range from as low as $1,095 to as high as $2,995 a month

As part of the pilot, subscribers will be able to have access to 30 different model and can swap cars as often as they like, depending on what tier they choose.

“Our pilot is first and foremost a conquesting tool and a way to attract incremental customers interested in the Mercedes-Benz brand,” said Craig Walters, the general manager of the Mercedes’ financial services unit. “It was obviously something that was becoming more ingrained in what our customers wanted, not just in the automotive space but other spaces as well.”

According to Walters, the Nashville choice was because the city has a lot of young affluent buyers with high job growth.

BMW AG also launched a subscription pilot recently in Nashville that runs as high as $3,700 a month.

The pilot is 18 months long and Mercedes will assess next steps early next year, Walters remarked.
