Mark Zuckerberg Rips Up Neighborhood For Privacy

Posted on

Well, even a social-media billionaire is entitled to some privacy. Mark Zuckerberg, the founder and CEO of Facebook, has been keeping himself busy by buying four homes just to replace them with smaller ones.

The goal? To eliminate any chance of peeking into his back yard or bedroom. The homes are all located near his Palo Alto, California home and will be razed and replaced.

According to an application filed with the city’s planning department, the homes that Zuckerberg bought in 2012 and 2013 for more than $43 million along Hamilton Avenue and Edgewood Drive in Palo Alto’s tony Crescent Park neighborhood would be demolished. They’ll be replaced with smaller houses on the same lots and the inhabitants won’t be able to see into the billionaire’s backyard.

Wouldn’t we all be doing this if we had endless millions to spend?
