Samsung just announced the first ever foldable phone and it comes with a pretty hefty price tag of $1,980.

Dubbed the Galaxy Fold, the phone was presented during a press event in San Francisco this week.

Users will be able to use the phone like a tablet or in a smaller form like a phone. The phone has a special display that can fold open if you want to use it like a tablet.

According to the company, the Fold can easily fit in your hand like a traditional phone but opens up into a large tablet for when you want to watch movies.

One battery is located on each side of the fold, allowing for the tablet to fold in half easier.

Samsung is planning to launch the Galaxy Fold on April 26th, starting at $1,980, through AT&T and T-Mobile in the US. The company will also offer along with the phone a pair of Samsung’s new wireless earbuds. There will be both an LTE and 5G version of the phone.

The company is planning on launching the device in Europe on May 3rd, starting at 2,000 euros.
