Young Boy Dies In Santa’s Arms

Eric Schmitt-Matzen, who dresses up at Santa Clause and does about 80 events a year, will most likely never forget this Christmas.

A terminally ill 5-year old boy in Tennessee sat on his lap and died in his arms after he gave the child a present in a hospital.

According to the Knoxville News-Sentinel, Schmitt-Matzen was asked a few weeks ago to visit the dying boy.

The young boy gave him a hug after receiving a toy, and asked, “Santa, can you help me?” He then died in his arms.

Schmitt-Matzen said he needed days to recover from this but he will continue to play Santa.
