“Tranny Granny” Was An Actual Halloween Costume
Amazon and Walmart both pulled a Halloween costume from their respective websites, called the “Tranny Granny.”
First off, the name alone screams what the hell was somebody thinking in the creative department? The description of the costume reads, “All the guys will be dressing up as superheroes and princes, but you will stand out among the rest in this hilarious Granny Men’s Costume!”
The costume was listed on both marketplaces by a third-party vendor called Rasta Imposta. While it retails at $64, both stores were selling it for more than half off at $25.
The costume included a white tank dress that is covered in colorful flowers along with a pink collar. Of course it came with butt and boob pads to make it look even more ridiculous.
Walmart told LGBTQNation that it removed the costume from its website because it “obviously” violated its terms of service for third-party retailers.
“While it’s listed on other sites, it clearly violates our policy and was quickly removed once we were notified. We’re appalled this seller put it on our site to begin with,” a representative stated.
Rasta Imposta has renamed the costume “Manny Granny” on its site and Target is selling it under the name “Women’s Granny Costume One Size Fits Most” for $39.99.
