Tim Tebow Is About To Play A New Major Sport
We watched Michael Jordan try baseball after a successful career playing basketball for the Chicago Bulls. Now we may be about to watch Tim Tebow give baseball a shot.
According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, the soon to be 29 year old has given up on his NFL dream and is now setting his sights on becoming a Major League Baseball player.
“Tim Tebow is transitioning from football to baseball,” Schefter said on ESPN Radio. “He spent the last nine months honing his baseball skills, honing his outfield abilities … He truly wants to pursue a career in baseball right now.”
Tebow does have some experience with baseball. He was an All-State player in high school and led his team to the semifinals of Florida’s state tournament.
According to the report, Tebow will hold a workout “for all Major League Baseball teams” later this month.
Tebow was selected by the Denver Broncos in the first round of the 2010 NFL Draft. He has also played for the New York Jets and had a brief stint with the New England Patriots, and the Philadelphia Eagles.
