This is What HBO Had to Say About the Coffee Cup Left on Game of Thrones Set

Many fans were noticing something odd in the latest episode of Game of Thrones.

Set during a mythical time that is comparable to medievel Europe, the show’s last episode, episode 4 of season 8, had watchers wondering why there was a coffee cup on a table. The kind of coffee cup you get at Starbucks.

If you missed the scene, it was when Daenerys, Jon Snow, Arya and the rest of that gang decided to celebrate their battle win with some drinks. About 17-minutes into the episode, the coffee cup appeared.

HBO responded to the mishap and said, “The latte that appeared in the episode was a mistake. Daenerys had ordered an herbal tea.”

Not bad HBO. We see what you did there.
