This is What Chris Rock Had to Say About Will Smith Slapping Him
It was the slap that shocked the world and apparently it also shocked the person who was slapped.
This past weekend at the Oscars, one of the highlights of the ceremony was watching actor Will Smith slap Chris Rock across the face for making a joke about his wife.
Rock finally addressed what happened at a Boston show and said he was still processing what had happened.
On Wednesday, Chris Rock made his first public appearance since the Will Smith slapping incident during the Academy Awards ceremony.
Rock performed back-to-back shows at the Wilbur Theatre in Boston and told the crowd that he didn’t have much to say about the occurrence.
The sales for his comedy tour have skyrocketed since Sunday.
In leaked audio from the sold-out show, Rock can be heard saying “I don’t have a bunch of s— to say about that.”
According to an NBC Boston reporter present at the show, Rock received multiple standing ovations. He started out by asking “So, how was your weekend?” which prompted many audience members to laugh.
The comedian said at some point he would talk about what happened at the Oscars but not now.
Earlier in the week Smith took to social media to formally apologize to Rock, calling his behavior “unacceptable and inexcusable.”
