There’s An App that Can Pay Off Your Student Debt
One of the most frustrating bills some may ever face are their student loans. Let’s face it, some people are even drowning because of them and having a hard time surviving.
There’s an app that may have the solution. It’s a trivia app where so far over 5,000 people have won prizes on.
Called the Givling trivia app, the company has so far paid out $3 million. The money can go towards your student debt, your mortgage, and many other things.
Cynthia Thomas Reher just won $50,000 toward her student debt. “I feel some of the weight lifted off my shoulders,” she said. “I feel more optimistic about the future now.”
“I enjoy what I do,” said Thomas Reher, 42. The couple both attended the Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine.
“But I had no clue what I was getting into. How can you when you’re young, have never worked a day in your life and have no idea what the cost of living is?”
“I figured there was nothing to lose,” Thomas Reher explained. She soon realized she wasn’t very good at trivia, but the app offered her another way out of her debt.
The trivia game has just what you would expect; trivia questions, and answering them correctly can lead to less student debt. The questions range from pop culture, history, geography, math, chemistry and more. Users play rounds of trivia on teams of three and prizes are given out weekly.
Around 400,000 people have registered with Givling said Seth Beard, Givling’s chief marketing officer. According to Beard, the company really took off last year despite being founded four years ago.
You don’t even have to know trivia to win. Players can collect points through watching advertisements or getting friends to sign up and they gradually rise up to the top of the prize queue.
Reher said she logged on every day, and over four years slowly watched her name float to the top.
