The Mega Millions Winner is From South Carolina

Many Americans were disappointed to wake up this morning and find that their Mega Millions ticket was not the lucky winner.

The jackpot had been growing steadily to over $1.5 billion and now there’s finally a winner. The lucky person is from South Carolina, or at least the ticket was purchased in South Carolina.

No winning tickets had been sold for the lottery since July 24th and the odds of winning now were 1 in 302.6 million.

Mega Millions will now reset to its baseline $40 million jackpot for the next drawing on Friday.

The Powerball lottery however has gone up to $620 million and those numbers are being pulled tonight.
