The Democrats Take Back the House

According to NBC News as of Tuesday evening, the Democrats are expected to win control of the House again and this could mean some trouble for President Trump.

With the Democrats winning control of the house, this means the party will have a check on President Trump and his administration’s policy.

This is the first time Democrats will have control of the house since 2010 and is a huge victory despite the projection that the Republicans will still keep control of the Senate according to NBC.

President Trump took to his Twitter late Tuesday and tweeted that the election was a “tremendous success” despite him losing the house. He also wrote, “Thank you to all!”

With the Democrats now controlling the house, they will have the ability to launch investigations into the president and his Cabinet members and could go after the president’s tax returns. The Democrats may also pass legislation to protect special counsel Robert Mueller’s probe. Issues from taxes and healthcare will be checked by the Democrats as well.
