Playmate Who Posted Nude Photo of Woman At Gym Pleads No Contest
Remember the Playboy model who took a picture of a naked woman at the gym and put it on her Snapchat? If you don’t, here’s the story. Last July, Dani Mathers, 2015’s Playmate of the Year, was at an L.A. Fitness, when she decided it would be funny to take a picture of a nude older woman in the locker room and then put it on her Snapchat.
She captioned the photo, “If I can’t unsee this, then you can’t either.” Disgusting, right? Well she was charged with invasion of privacy and was facing up to six months in jail. Did it happen? No.
According to ET, the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office said on Wednesday that Mathers has pleaded no contest in the case and will have to perform 30 days of graffiti removal. She will also serve 36 months probation and have to pay $60 to the victim for restitution.
S60? That’s it?
Tom Mesarau, the lawyer who was defending Mathers said, “She is very relieved that this ordeal is coming to an end. She is very apologetic and remorseful about what happened. She looks forward to a new chapter in her life.”
“We are very relieved she is not going to spend one day in jail and did not have to plead guilty to any charge. She plead to ‘no contest’ to a misdemeanor.”
Mathers had apologized on her Twitter after what she did and had wrote, “Should never make light of another woman’s naked body. I’m sorry for what I did… I need to take some time to myself now to reflect on why I did this horrible thing.”
“I have taken full responsibility for the mistakes I have made and will continue to love myself and others…I wish this for the rest of you too.”
