Nirvana Front man Kurt Cobain Would Have Turned 50 Today

Monday would have marked Kurt Cobain’s 50th birthday had the troubled singer and front man for Nirvana never committed suicide back in 1994.

Cobain shot himself at 27 years of age in his Seattle home on April 5, 1994. He was a major influence in the grunge movement.

“He remains the most important musician of the last two decades in music, with an album that is still one of the last great rock records,” said Charles R. Cross.

Cross has written three books on Cobain which include Here We Are Now: The Lasting Impact of Kurt Cobain.
