Kim Kardashian Receives Major Backlash Over These Candles

The Virgin Mary is one of the most dearly worshiped humans who have ever existed, so it is no surprise that when Kim Kardashian decided to promote devotional candles with her face on them, she would receive major backlash.

The reality star, who already seems to think the sun rises and sets with her, decided to wear a sheer dress with the Virgin Mary on it and then soon after start promoting religious inspired items that have her face on them.

You know those candles that have the Virgin Mary on them, well, how do you feel about one with Kim Kardashian on it?

The Catholic League website wasn’t having it, and called her out on her new way to make money by saying she was “ripping off Catholic iconography to make a quick buck and grab headline news.”

“We’ve never seen any indication that Kim Kardashian venerates the Blessed Virgin Mary — she is a former porn star — so her latest headline-grabbing stunt can only be seen as exploitative,” read the missive written by Bill Donahue.

Kim started promoting the candles on Twitter Thursday evening and most of the people on the internet reacted the same way The Catholic League did.

One user tweeted, “That is the most disrespectful thing i’ve ever seen.”

Another said”If you have no boundaries, at least show respect for other people’s religion.”

Well, perhaps she’s learning from her husband Kanye West who even has a song called, “I Am God.”

These people need to be stopped…
