Is Taylor Swift About To Sue Kanye West?

Some major drama between Kanye West and Taylor Swift has been re-ignited this week after West’s wife, reality star Kim Kardashian West, decided to release some video clips on her Snapchat.

The video clips were of a phone conversation between her husband Kanye and Taylor Swift with Swift appearing to support Kanye’s provocative lyrics about her on his song “Famous.” “Famous” was released back in February on West’s new album “The Life of Pablo.”

Ms. Swift issued a statement on Instagram shortly after, stating that she had not approved of the song. She also claimed that Mr. West had not delivered on a promise to play her the final version before its release. Swift wrote, “While I wanted to be supportive of Kanye on the phone call, you cannot ‘approve’ a song you haven’t heard.”

The issue just got even more serious as Swift could sue West over the released phone call recordings. She indeed threatened West with criminal prosecution months ago for allegedly secretly recording their conversation.

In the Golden State, where West resides, it is illegal to record a phone call without both parties consenting to it. It’s actually a felony. Not too long ago West had been asking Mark Zuckerberg to borrow money on Facebook while Swift just became the highest paid celebrity in the world. Would be an interesting legal case if Swift decides to go that route.

Swift’s attorney wrote a letter stating, “Demand is hereby made that you immediately destroy all such recordings, provide us of assurance that this has been done, and also assurance that these recordings have not been previously disseminated,” per the Hollywood gossip website, which claims to have a copy.”
