George Clooney Is About To Become A Father For The First Time At 55

Many have believed that George Clooney would never have kids as he has himself admitted he does not think he has the gene to replicate. However, things change, just like he said more than a decade ago.

“I think it’s the most responsible thing you can do, to have kids. It’s not something to be taken lightly,” Clooney told PEOPLE in 2006. “I don’t have that gene that people have to replicate. But everything in my life has changed over time.”

Today, the 55 year old actor is about to become a father with his wife Amal, a 39-year old human rights lawyer. The couple are expecting fraternal twins.

Nina Clooney, George’s mother, told Us Weekly that her son will be a “great” dad. “We are extremely happy for George and Amal, and I cannot imagine two people who would be better parents,” she told Us.
