Julia Louis-Dreyfus Fights Breast Cancer with a Roar
Former Seinfeld star who currently stars on Veep, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, is battling breast cancer, but not alone.
The 56 year old actress posted on her Instagram this week a photo of herself in sunglasses,a black hoodie, with a mustache drawn on her upper lip, and said, “Chemo #2: finito. We are NOT f—ing around here.”
In her post she also gave fighting credit to a 2013 Katy Perry song called ‘ROAR’ and wrote, “”‘I’ve got the eye of the tiger. The Fighter dancing through the fire cuz I am a champion and you’re going to hear me ROAR.”
She went on to say “Thanks to @mrtonyhale & @timothycsimons & @katyperry for their hilarious and loving inspiration.”
When the actress, who is also a mother of two, first revealed she had cancer, she wrote, “1 in 8 women get breast cancer. Today, I’m the one. The good news is that I have the most glorious group of supportive and caring friends, and fantastic insurance through my union. The bad news is that not all women are so lucky, so let’s fight all cancers and make universal health care a reality.”
HBO told People in September that the star learned she had cancer only a day after she won her sixth consecutive Emmy.
