Former First Lady Barbara Bush Has Died
Though it may be a politically controversial time, there is no doubt that former first lady Barbara Bush had a major role in history.
It was on Tuesday that the woman, who was both wife and mother to a U.S. president passed away at the age of 92.
The former first lady had been having trouble with her health for some time and had recently made the choice to not seek further treatment.
Known for her pearls and white hair, she became the wife of a president in 1988 when her husband President George H.W. Bush was in office. She had once said, “My career was my family.”
She and her husband had been married for 73 years.
