Family Dispute Drives Texas Mother To Kill Her Daughters

This story involves a mother that no daughter should pick a fight with. It also gives the anti-gun control movement more ammunition.

A family dispute in Texas led to a mother fatally shooting her two daughters right on the street in front of the house. It was their father’s birthday too.

42-year-old Christy Sheats killed both her daughters, Taylor Sheats, 22, and Madison Sheats, 17. One of the victims died at the scene, and the other later died after being brought to a hospital.

The incident happened last Friday afternoon shortly after 5 p.m. Police responded to 911 calls about shots being fired and found her two daughters lying on the street. An officer shot and killed the mother after she refused to drop her weapon
“It was a family argument that turned into a shooting,” Fort Bend County Sheriff Troy Nehls told the Houston Chronicle. “But we’re still trying to put the pieces together.”
