Bodybuilder Gets Widespread Backlash For Publicly Shaming Overweight Girl At Gym
The last thing any overweight person wants to deal with is judgement at the gym. Most people who are overweight are already self conscious as it is doing regular activities. When you go to the gym to better yourself and lose the weight, you should be praised not criticized.
Too bad Diana Andrews, a London bodybuilder doesn’t have this kind of common sense.
She posted a picture of a fellow gym member who was on the treadmill onto her Instagram, and captioned it “love handles”.
She didn’t leave it at that alone. She also posted a picture right after that said, “I bet she’s ordering burgers for delivery.” The burgers were emoji images.
The woman in the picture was indeed on her phone, but more than likely was not ordering burgers.
Andrews just felt the urge to be a bully and bodyshame a fellow woman for no good reason.
She of course has been receiving backlash for her behavior and has ended up deleting most of her social media accounts.
Andrews made a weak attempt at an apology and wrote on her Snapchat, “I realised that I was wrong to make this silly joke. It wasn’t my intention to body shame, hurt or disrespect anyone.”
Of course you didn’t!
She then wrote on her Facebook, “I saw this girl walking on the treadmill talking on her phone and I made a video and added a comment that she’s probably ordering take away.”
Making it sound that harmless, eh?
That Facebook has been deleted. Stay off the internet Andrews. There’s no acceptance here for bullying and nobody bought your apology.
