Bill Gates Just Gave Some Great Advice for 2017 College Graduates
Bill Gates has a lot of money and he has had a lot of success. It’s no surprise that people look up to him and take what he says seriously.
The Microsoft billionaire just gave some advice to 2017 college graduates and even offered them a special book recommendation.
On his Twitter on Monday, Gates told his followers what careers he would choose today if he were to follow something different. He said artificial intelligence, and energy or biosciences, are all “promising fields.”
He said, “AI, energy, and biosciences are promising fields where you can make a huge impact. It’s what I would do if starting out today.”
He remarked that his biggest regret when he left school was that he didn’t know about “the world’s worst inequities,” something that he needed decades to learn. He said, “You know more than I did when I was your age. You can start fighting inequity, whether down the street or around the world, sooner.”
He told graduating students what the most inspiring book he ever read was. It was Stephen Pinker’s “The Better Angels of Our Nature.”
“This is an amazing time to be alive,” Gates tweeted Monday. “I hope you make the most of it.”
