Beyonce’s Opening At The BET Awards Was Epic
The BET Awards were last night and Beyonce killed with her opening number. The Queen Bey was never officially announced to perform, so when back up dancers marched onto the stage with Martin Luther King Jr.’s “I Have a Dream” speech echoing, the audience had an idea what was about to come.
Beyonce took the stage at Los Angeles Microsoft Theater and performed the hit “Freedom” from her Lemonade album. The stage was filled with water as dancers and Beyonce stomped to the beat.
Just when you think it couldn’t get any better, Kendrick Lamar popped up out of nowhere and started rapping an acapella verse.
Their performance hit it home with a powerful statement.
