Alan Thicke Suddenly Drops Dead At 69

Alan Thicke warmed our hearts as the dad on the Growing Pains and was a pretty famous face around Hollywood. His good looks and experience served him well for five decades of acting.

The beloved actor suddenly passed away on Tuesday while playing ice hockey with his youngest son in Burbank, California. He was only 69 years old.

Thicke’s ex-wife, singer and actress Gloria Loring, confirmed his death in a statement on Facebook. “It is a shock. We were all just together for Thanksgiving. He was talented, funny and deeply devoted to his family,” she said. “Rest In Peace, dear one.”

Thicke is the father of three sons including r&b singer Robin Thicke. His youngest son Carter tweeted, “[T]he world lost one of it’s finest. You are a legend and I love you Pops. Until next time.”
