The last thing you want to be when you ask a cop for directions, is drunk.

This is what Lou Diamond Phillips was probably thinking after he asked a cop for directions early Friday morning.

The star of “Longmire” was arrested after he pulled up to police and asked them for directions, according to police chief Mark Cory of Portland, Texas.

Cory said that Phillips stopped a patrol car to ask for directions at 1:35 a.m. on Friday morning. He appeared “highly intoxicated” and was arrested. He had a blood-alcohol content of .20. The legal limit is 0.08.

Cory said that Phillips was “polite” during the arrest. He has since been released on bond.

The actor had been expected to appear at a historical event in Corpus Christi said the Associated Press.
