Whole Foods May Soon Be Offering 10% Discount to Prime Members
Could a Whole Foods Market in Texas spilled the beans on Whole Foods potentially offering 10% off to Prime members?
The Austin Whole Foods Market tested banners briefly that stated 10% discounts for Amazon’s Prime service, with one banner saying, “blue signs mean special deals just for you, yes you.”
CNBC obtained the pictures of the banners which show that the grocer is testing marketing material promoting a 10% discount for the Prime members.
The banners were hung late Wednesday and were already removed on Thursday. No discounts have been announced and they are not official.
A Whole Foods spokesperson told CNBC however, “We’re not testing this offer at any of our stores.”
