Twitter (TWTR) Shares Explode After Donald Trump Wins The Race
Author By Sophia VidaPosted on Donald Trump, the Republican candidate who just won the Presidential race, was no stranger to using Twitter throughout his campaign. It’s the form of social media he used to start a fight with Alicia Machado, former Miss Universe…. at 3 a.m. in the morning.
On Wednesday, Twitter saw shares gain 4%, a day after Trump won the election.
According to USA Today, Twitter had more than 75 million tweets were sent through 3 a.m. ET Wednesday morning, which broke the record set on 2012 Election Day of 31 million tweets.
