Tesla’s Chief Accounting Officer is Leaving the Company

Eric Branderiz, Tesla’s chief accounting officer, is leaving the company for personal reasons according to an SEC filing that was revealed on Thursday.

He joined the company in 2016 during the electric car giant’s $2.6 billion acquisition of SolarCity.

Tesla’s statement in the filing reads as follows:

“On March 7, 2018, Eric Branderiz left Tesla for personal reasons. Tesla appreciates Eric’s service to the company.”

Branderiz was previously a senior vice president and chief accounting officer at SunPower.
