Target’s Same-Day Delivery Service Will be Available This Year Throughout the Country
Target’s CEO, Brian Cornell made some remarks on the company’s new delivery system on CNBC during the “Fast Money Halftime Report.”
According to the CEO, Shipt will be available throughout the country this year. Shipt is a same-day delivery service that the company acquired for $550 million back in December.
He said, “Now with Shipt, if you order, in a couple of hours, I’ll put it right on your kitchen table.”
Target is also expanding other services to make it easier for shoppers to buy products online and pick them up at its stores.
Cornell commented, “In many markets, you’ll be able to drive right into our parking lot [and] our team member will put that order in your truck.”
Target recently reported strong same-store sales for the 2017 holiday season. The company saw same-store sales grow 3.4%.
