T-Mobile (NASDAQ: TMUS) Is Giving Away A Lot Of Free Stuff
In an unusual but interesting move, T-Mobile is offering free pizza and company stock to customers as well as other free goodies and the chance to win trips and shopping sprees.
T-Mobile’s CEO John Legere announced the give-away during the company’s Un-carrier 11 press event on Monday. He also announced the company’s new T-Mobile Tuesday app for Android and iOS.
So how does it work? The shares will be given to the primary contact on eligible postpaid smartphone accounts. T-Mobile says it’s also giving shares to any new T-Mobile Simple Choice plan customers. You’ll also get an additional free share for every person you convince to switch to T-Mobile and you’re allowed up to 100 shares a year.
In order to get these shares you will have to sign up for a free account with T-Mobile’s brokerage partner Loyal3. As long as you continue as an active T-Mobile user, it wont cost anything to maintain your account and you won’t be hit with any fees.
How do you get the pizza?
When a T-Mobile customer downloads the T-Mobile Tuesday app, they will automatically be eligible to receive prizes like free Domino’s pizza, Wendy’s Frosties and Vudu movie rentals every Tuesday. There will also be a spin-the-wheel game for customers to play where they can win things like $10,000 shopping sprees and trips.
T-Mobile is also giving away free tickets to the opening day of the “Warcraft” movie as part of the launch.
